The YMCA Madurai responded to the emergent call for relief and rehabilitation of the victims of the devastating Tsunami of December 2004. Supplementary classes for 100 school going children with nutritious refreshments are provided for the children from coastal areas in Kanyakumari District. Conducting Periodical Medical Camps Sports Meet for the Children motivate them to take care of themselves. Spoken English classes for the coastal children are arranged during summer.
