TSUNAMI LIVELIHOOD AND REHABILITATION PROGRAMME

YMCA Madurai having responded to the immediate relief measures, focused on the rehabilitation of the affected by offering livelihood training in tailoring and embroidery. 110 permanent houses have been constructed for the beneficiaries and they are living happily in their own houses. Training in garment making is offered for 25 women. The YMCA Community centre constructed at M.K. Puthur enables the community to organize trainings for women, Self Help group meetings and family get-together.
